Academy of Law to be launched in Brisbane

The cream of Australia's legal profession will gather at Government House in Brisbane on Tuesday, 17 July 2007, for the formal launch of the high powered Australian Academy of Law.
The Academy has been born from a landmark report on the civil justice system, 'Managing Justice', by the Australian Law Reform Commission in 2000 which highlights problems associated with a lack of cohesion and direction in the legal profession and recommended establishment of the academy.
